Saint

Do you people call you a “saint” for all you do? Do they say, “You must be a saint”?

Being compared to a saint can bring with it lots of pressure. Those are big shoes to fill, especially because it’s normal to have days that are full of un-saintlike thoughts, actions and words.

That’s okay. More than a saint, you are a human.

And, being human means you are blessed with imperfections. You will have moments you would like to erase, words you would like to take back, thoughts you wish you could control. But, you also will have moments when you know just what to do, say words that offer amazing comforts, and experience thoughts that bring great peace.

You are human. And, your imperfections make you just perfect.

I can identify with this blog. I sometimes tire of and feel guilty about being told I am this role model and good example. First of all, there is more to me than being my husband’s caregiver. Second of all, I have many inperfections and sometimes anxious and even angry thoughts. With the Lord’s help I seek to persevere and be the person He wants me to be, but I still struggle at times.
I also enjoyed your article about spring cleaning the unhealthy attitudes out of our lives. The Bible speaks of this as “taking off the old and “putting on the new.”
