Tax

What’s taxing for you?

The worry? The unrelenting work? The constant needs? The piles of recently-laundered clothes in need of a home? The casserole dishes crying for a home-cooked meal? The dust bunnies bouncing about your slippers? Or, is is just getting your taxes done that you find taxing?

When you have the responsibility for the health care needs of another, everything else can seem like an insurmountable tasks, even those as  seemingly simple as laundry, cooking and cleaning. This week, leave the laundry, cooking and cleaning. Focus your attention on what’s really important: Moments with a supportive friend who sees how your soul shines, quiet time with your thoughts so you find your perspective, romance with your spouse so you give and receive love. The laundry, cooking and cleaning can wait, just for a few days.

Thank you so much for “What’s taxing you?” Boy did you hit the nail on the head. I’ll even attest to not getting their taxes done yet due to the stress of taking care of my dad. It’s something new everyday. I had him tested recently and his IQ had dropped to below 60. You can’t put two words together and get him to understand it. I can’t wait to see your posts and take to heart the information I glean from others who have gone down this road. Thank you So Much for being on Twitter and somehow we found each other. Oh my! I’m getting teary-eyed writing this! That’s amazing because I stopped crying over 2 years ago after my mom went to a nursing home and I had to take over everything.. I’m numb!

    Thank you!
