This,dear friends, is our story: A father sitting alone every night to make sure his son is safe while he sleeps on a vent. A tearful mother falling to her knees at her son's bedside. Two young men tenderly dressing their brother's silent limbs. A little sister growing up in hospital waiting rooms, thinking that an outing was a trip to the first-floor gift shop. Grandparents faithfully visiting. Friends carrying meals. A quadriplegic teenager asking us to lift his hands to his God. A family enjoying the gift of life... together. Since I can’t draw, paint, or sketch, I can only offer a portrait of caregiving in words. This,dear friends, is our story:
