Treasured Moments

Our oldest son and his wife and our two IA granddaughters were in our area since Thursday. They went home again this morning. Together with our son and his wife who live near us and our local grandkids we had a wonderful few days together! It was a wonderful time to interact with our sons and their wives and our grandkids. We could enjoy the presence of six of our seven grandkids this past weekend. The other grandchild lives in London with her parents. (our youngest son and his wife) It was a special weekend filled with special moments. With all that we are going through and have gone through I really treasure these moments.
Yesterday was especially nice. We all went down to a State Park and had a picnic and a wonderful afternoon and evening together. The weather was great and the fellowhip was sweet. Some of us even took a little hike with some of the grandkids. Later we all went out for ice cream. Even my husband seemed to be enjoying himself. He seemed more “perked up” and less blah. Today he has been dozing in his chair all day again, however. Back to reality, or maybe just extra tired after the busy last few days?

Hi Sharon–What a nice way to spend the day. Good for you! It must seem quiet now that the Iowa contingency has gone. So glad your visit with them brought so many moments of comfort and happiness. :)
