I so agree with the need for humor, I don’t know if I would call it irreverent or not, but my husband and I will make comments in refference to mom, which are semi-humorous to us, but in actuality they are a way to vent the real pain that lies beneath. Others are often shocked, appalled at some of the comments we make, such as “I am going to sell mom to the highest bidder” Obvioiusly, I am not having a good time, and I am stressed, so ‘jokingly’ I might make such a statement to relieve some of the stress. People don’t get it though, even when you try to explain to them, don’t be shocked, we don’t mean it, it is just a way to release steam!

I was on Kaye’s website it is awesome! I immediately booked marked it a favorite! I will go back when I have a bit more time to read more of the posts and info there. Took interest in the post about traveling with seniors, but then I had to stop and think, is it referring to ‘senior’ me, or ‘very senior’ my mom? lol Anyhow it is a good article. I look forward to reading more!

ok! I will try back too. The trip was great, wonderful wedding and time with sons, oldest couldn’t make it though! But on the homefront, there were a lot of upsetting events going on concerning my mom’s care! I will no doubt be blogging about it soon while they are still freshly churning in my mind!
