Some tips to keep in mind:
Most important, be honest with other family members about your care recipient’s disease process. Behaviors that you worry will seem odd are normal to the disease. Because these behaviors are facts of the disease, no need to keep them a secret or to feel ashamed. How others react to these behavior reflects on them, not on you or your care recipient. Be patient with yourself and your care recipient throughout the holiday season; it’s best give to give and receive.
