Joy and Thankfulness

On Thursday nights my husband, Wayne, and I usually go to our son’s family home for supper and the evening. Last night the granddaughters 7 and 6 years old got a make shift bowling game going with plastic glasses as pins and a plastic ball.

We were able to get my husband involved “bowling” from his wheelchair. He was having a great time and even laughing. It was so good to see, as I have been wondering lately whether I need to get him on an antidepressant. It was so much fun to be cheering on the grandkids and their grandpa (my husband) in their “bowling” skills. It did everybody’s heart good!

I am also nearly laughing with joy because next week they will start building the wheelchair ramp so my husband can access our new condo. It should only take a day or day and a half to do. This is one of the last important things which needs to be addressed before we move. It has been a concern of mine for some time.

I also was going to hire movers to move us, but the deacons of our church Sunday before last offered to do that. Then I was obsessing for about a week what to feed them, and last Sunday someone offered to take care of that. Thank You, Lord. You are so good!
