Mum has settled down a bit. She is now eating and drinking and taking her supplement of Calogen. She’s had abdominal pain and we’ve given her what the doctor prescribed – gas medicine (luftal) and anti-spasm medicine. This helped and the pain passed.

She is very thin, her bones seem to stick up through her skin and she isn’t really walking anymore. The aids sort of push her along. She’s always confused and in her own world.

I am having trouble with the aids. I am going to have to fire one, she’s grumpy and very difficult at times though good with mum. But there has to be a cheerful spirit generally.

I still have carpal tunnel. I am going to see an acupuncturist on Thursday to see if he can help.

Hi Dilys, I’m so glad your mom is comfortable. But, I’m sorry for all the other challenges! Ugh, firing an aid is never any fun. As you say: You all deserve a cheerful spirit in your midst. That makes a huge difference. Thanks for update–hoping your week goes well. Let us know.

    Hi Dilys,
It’s so hard when one of your helpers has a bad attitude…especially if helpers are hard to find.

As far as your carpal tunnel goes, are there any neuromuscular massage therapists near you? They can do wonders with CT.

    Good luck!
