Group coaching helps three or four individuals work toward a common goal. It’s a perfect option when you and three or four friends are on the same page as to your caregiving situations–but you’re also stuck on that page. When all of you would love to turn the page, a coach can help all of you do that.

Group coaching also helps you and other family members. As you work with family members to provide care, a coach can help all of you share the care effectively. With Denise as your coach, you and your family members can:

  • Develop a caregiving plan that encompasses each family member’s gifts and strengths while meeting the needs of your aging relative.
  • Create communication strategies so that everyone, including the aging relative, is clear about goals and commitments.
  • Overcome communication difficulties to meet your true goal–maintaining the health and safety of an aging relative.
  • Manage obstacles that make caregiving difficult.
  • Pinpoint a goal that helps you face unsettling decisions.
  • Strengthen the team so that caregiving strategies work effectively.
  • Move past previous problems that hinder effective caregiving.

Coaching is an enjoyable way to work on goals and desires that have been elusive for too long. Most important, it’s absolutely about you.

You determine assignments based on your specific goals and mission to be completed during the week. Because you are accountable for completing the assignments, you remain in empowering, forward-moving energy. Blocks to completing the assignments occur, but you and Denise work together to determine what sets the block–and then how to move it, crush it, or simply walk around it.

With Denise as your coach, you tackle a tough situation, press through a problem, or make a decision about a dilemma. Or, you just learn coping skills to help on those difficult days. The client (you) drives the coaching call; you determine the focus and the goals. Then, you and Denise create an action plan—steps you will take between coaching calls—that will lead to your desired outcomes. With a coach, you get an objective listener, a committed partner in your success, and a vision for all you can be.

“Before coaching with Denise, I was overwhelmed with my responsibilities. Denise is consistently encouraging and positive, helping me break any goal into pieces and achieve it one step at a time, while providing resources and expertise to help me on my way. I would encourage any caregiver with too much on her plate to work with Denise – as soon as possible!”–Sara Schiffer
