This is such a wonderful reminder. I think I am now beginning to understand how keeping things fresh or new, and different can really help boost spirits. Because we have moved a couple of times, I think I tended to equate moving, with things getting better, however all the challenges moved right along with me...(:
Making changes in the house have made positive changes for me. I love a lot of color in each room and have just convinced my husband that they do make a difference (so he continues to paint). Last year, we even painted the outside of the house--yellow (New England Yellow)! Putting things away for a bit (not as much to dust) and then bringing them out later is fun too. We recently put in a new kitchen sink. I was feeling guilty about it, but I spend most of my day in front of it, so it has more than paid for itself.(: Thank you for reminding me that changes to our surroundings do make a difference.
