Ellen Rogin, our wealthness expert, joined us for a discussion on Your Caregiving Journey this morning about money and happiness. You can listen to our show via the player at the bottom of the post.
We decided that buying stuff can’t make you happy but making thoughtful purchases can. I spoke of purchases made during a recent trip which bring me great pleasure. I’ve displayed the treasures on a table given to me by my grandmother. The meaning behind the table adds even more preciousness to the possessions.
So… Which purchases have you made that bring you happiness?
I love you have your vacation reminders on your grandmothers table!!..That is such a touching visual for me as I have so many things of both my aunt and mom all around my apartment…for me it is the old combined with the new..
I havent actually bought anything currently to be honest. In my younger days I spent way too much on things thinking they were defining me or making me happy where really they were putting me in debt!!…Love the second half of my life !!…Youth is wasted on the young…Im now happy with what I have…
I did treat myself to a dress in May for my nieces communion…I love books very much and do treat myself to those once in a while as they mnake me very happy…it is important to treat ourselves every now and then!! I must listen to the show later today..!!!!
