Today’s question is: How will you make a splash today?
You might make a splash by saying, “To heck with chores! It’s all about R&R today.” Or, by choosing to wear your tie-dyed t-shirt and flip flops. Or, by contacting everyone who has made a difference in your life and saying, “Thank you.”
Make your splash. Then, tell us about it in our comments section. When you share in our comments section, you’ll be entered into a chance to win a great gift basket.
Congratulations to Sharon who won yesterday’s gift basket!
Reminder: Be sure to enter our Facebook fan page contest! Print out our We Break for Summer! photo, take a break while posing with the print-out and then take a picture. well, the biggest splash I am making today is volunteering to watch all 3 grands, ages 6,5 and almost 4….so their dad can help my husband on his job and their mom can go to her class…I don’t usually take all 3…will require wise planning lol
Good morning! I am writing from Santa Fe, NM where there is a chance of thunderstorms, something we don’t have at home. I asked our son how we’ll make a splash today and he reminded me that we’re planning to go into the pool this afternoon, so we’ll make a literal splash!
I haven’t felt real “splashy” this week-end, but today I made the effort! Marah has been asking to wash the car (over and over), and so today was the day. After the washing was through, she decided to point the hose at the sky…”it is raining”, she said, while having a great time cooling off. I wasn’t sure if I had the energy to get soaked with her, but thinking about “making a splash” decided to. We had a great time in the spray, and ended our time with a nice cool hug!!
oh wow…what a wonderful visual…..im very envious….
my splash today is the nice tortellini salad Im making with my burgers tonight….Im splashing dressing on it, with olives, tomatoes, peppers….
thats one advantage of summer…..easier summer meals…
too hot for more than that …….
come here with that hose….I would have loved to be walking under the rain with you. I remember as a child my friends and I would hold the hose like you are describing and we would pretend it was raining…you brought me back to a very special time….
Bette, I love your response! What a moment of joy and what a way to make a splash in the middle of caregiving challenges and your many other responsiblities! I wish we had a picture of your moment.
My day was very ordinary. I am not sure I made a big splash in any way today. I did take a tub bath. Does that count for making a big splash? LOL
