Today’s the last day we breaking for summer!

So, we’re ending on a fun note. Today’s question is: How will you play today?

You can play an instrument, play a board game, play cards, play tag or play a favorite song.

Or, maybe you’ll take a playful attitude.

You can play for a minute or two hours; it’s not about the time but about the doing. Play, then share in our comments section for your last chance to win one of our gift baskets. And, as we do on Saturdays, be sure to add a comment about the happy moment you created for yourself today.

Thanks so much for playing with us this week! You can listen to today’s Table Talk, which offers ideas about braking and breaking, via the player below.

Yesterday I received my lovely gift basket that I won from Caregiving.com – I thought I’d blow up the beach ball that ws included and see if my caree could bat at the ball with his one good hand, and maybe we could get a little game of catch going for a few minutes! I’m sure my grandkids will have fun with the ball when we’re done with it!

lol my grandson was playing with the beach ball last night, and it hit something in the kitchen…no more beach ball…it was actually a pretty good inside toy too he and I were knocking it around last night as well. Now he wants another one, had to have the husband blow it out, bout caused me to pass out!

I love the suggestion of a “playful attitude”. We begin vacation today and I am going to try and show a more “playful attitude” for the kids vs. a worrisome one. Things were okay a few week-ends ago here, and they will be okay this week too. Worries never seem to go away, but our one week away. (:

We just got off the train this morning from New Mexico and I still have that rocking feeling as if I was on the train. We leave in a few days for another trip, so today is laundry and errands. I’ll make sure to play with out son, both inside and outside. We got a new board game for Christmas and still haven’t tried it yet. Today’s the day!

Going to try to take in a movie this afternoon–depends on how long I have to spend setting up a database for our church library.

As I we were going to do yesterday we went to the be Holland Festival in Cedar Grove, WI. Cedar Grove is about 4 miles from us. They have a big festival each year. Two of our granddaughters (8 years and 6 years old) klompen danced with their wooden shoes in the parade.

I receieved my gift basket this week also. What fun!

Mom and I took her power wheelchair and lift van and went to the pet store. She picked out a new little octopus toy for her dog, then brought it home for her. As I type this, Mom and Missy are playing tug-of-war with it. It was a big hit with both of them! Today was a great day for Mom, her legs and mind are working really well. Considering that last Saturday, I was having to lift her to transfer from the wheelchair to the commode, I am very happy and thankful to have such a great Saturday with her!

I know…Im late…what else is new!! lol….ok so I wont win a basket…but we had a wonderful day yesterday….we took Uncle Jack for pizza and then to a few stores….we came back to his room at assisted living with coffee and duncan donuts and visited for a while…he was disappointed as he has a favorite paperpate pen that staples no longer carries so I came home and went on line and am so happy I found them and ordered two boxes…24 pens…I know he will be so excited when he receives them…it makes me happy to make someone sick happy….

today I take mom to church…as I wrote friday we will light candles and pray in some way that I can also make my nieces husband and all of those in georgia a bit happier as well. we will take mom for breakfast…..
and then later this afternoon….moms old landlord from where she lived and I was raised called friday night if he could see her…he came here right after her heart attack three years ago but we have not heard from him…I was shocked…so you do get a happy surprise in life once in a while….

so my friends…i was a bit too busy to be part of the contests but I know god is rewarding me somehow….and that is all the gift I need…I will light a candle at 10:00 mass for all of you today as well….you all make me very happy as well.
now as far as playful….that is just me…im like that every day lol……happy sunday everyone….and heres to a new week and month
