What friends? After almost 12 years of being a caregiver to my husband, they have all disappeared! As for family, they aren’t much better, sorry to say. And it doesn’t seem as though anyone is very interested in being a friend! Guess it’s out of their comfort zone to be around my situation. It’s a very, very lonely life!

Francine….welcome to the group….at some point or another we all have felt exactly like you described. I hope when you find the time you will pop in and keep in touch with us. I never imagined in all my life the amount of friends i would make with my keyboard and computer screen.

Hi–I hope you will stay in touch with us!
I hope we’ll help lessen the loneliness. I think that’s the toughest part–to feel alone because of the experience. I hope it helps to know that others understand and know.
