Wave

I love the word “wave” because it has so many purposes. We wave hello and good-bye. The ocean greets land with its own wave of white foam. And, at sporting events, we coordinate timing of our arms and bodies in order to create a stadium-wide wave.

In caregiving, we also can wave. We can wave away a bad day, knowing that good days follow. We can wave “hello” to help knowing that involvement of others enhances the experience for ourselves and our carees. And, we can organize our journey so that we remain in sync with support and comfort.

And, when we wave “good-bye,” we do so with a full heart, an enlightened soul and a belief in the future.

How do you wave?
