Just Me…..

The memorial card I made on Printmaster, the smaller photo card was done through Kodak and inserted in the large card.  I also made photo booklets from hotprints.  If you go on my facebook page, the book is on there and you can look through it.  Only closer family and friends receive the photo books, most receive the memorial card and photo card.  Just thought you all would like to see the memorial tributes I put together for mom.  There is no service for her, this is very private and very personal.

We have her remains here now in the scattering tube, and are beginning to make our plans on when to go to the Ohio River to scatter them.

I will no longer be adding blogs to The Bear Hug Waltz, my waltzing partner is no longer here….I have a new blog I started to continue as a caregiver advocate,  Traveling This Journey Together.  This is where most of my blogging will be done.  I still have Caregivers Not Alone which I will add to from time to time articles of interest to the caregiver.

Of course I will continue with my Blog Talk Radio Show, The Bear Hug Waltz, can’t give that up, and last but not least, I will be writing here!  Denise is a hard task master and keeps me busy lol   ;)

Oh yes, starting tomorrow evening for 6 weeks, I am taking a class for caregivers, Powerful Tools for Caregivers.  I had signed up for this a couple months ago, obviously not knowing mom would no longer be with me.  So, because I want to continue on in this area of caregiving, I still want to take the classes.  I may also try to make the support group I used to go to also, we’ll see.

I want to thank you all for your love and support, I found you all in the nick of time last November, you are helping me through one of the most difficult times in my life.  Love you all.

I’ll be very curious as to what you think of “Powerful Tools.”

The journey takes a turn and the road seems bumpy. But, it’s your journey–you make it what you want. I’m glad you’ll continue to keep us posted.

Thank-you for sharing such a personal tribute with us. One of things I’ve learned from losing a loved one is that they continue to be our loved ones. The love doesn’t end with their time in this life. Your mom will always be your mom. Again thanks for sharing this time with us.

Your love showing through in THE most marvelous of ways, and obviously composed from the deepest portions of your heart and mind. Incredibly poignant and magnificantly beautiful. Exemplifies the depth of beauty in you, and a glimpse into the private realm you and your mom shared in your caregiving journey. I was deeply touched by your tribute and “felt” every additional nuance. THANK YOU!
