How Will You Be Happy Today?

Posted by
|

Oh, it can be hard to feel happiness, especially when we worry about our carees and others, including fellow family caregivers, who struggle.

Happiness, though, is the reprieve we give ourselves from the worry and sadness, which can occupy so much of our day.

So, today, how will you make room for happiness?

This morning I went to a few garage sales in town. I usually enjoy this. I was able to get a CD radio stereo combination for a good price. I put this in my basement room, as we do have a stereo upstairs. Now when things get to much for me especially this winter, I can go to my retreat room in the basement.

Now I am going to go pick up sub from Subway for our lunch, and then I am going to go shopping for awhile in regular stores. I will make sure Wayne is safe in his chair, and then I am going. There have been a couple hurtful comments made in the last 24 hours, and I need to get away for a little while.

Im so happy I met GJ, her husband and son this morning for breakfast..What a delightful and wonderful family. I am so glad we got together and we had such a nice couple of hours. I felt like I know them all my life….saying goodbye made me so sad but I know we will be friends despite the miles for a very long time.

After returning home we picked up Kevins three nieces. They are having a spend the night. We had them jumping in the rides outside as it is the blocks yearly party but they lost interest in this quickly so we headed to the pizza place, the park, an italian ice store and we just made them a bunch of snacks before we head to bed.

Children brighten and liven up the place that is for sure. During the school year it gets hard for us to do the spend the nights so summer is a great opportunity to spend time with them. a little more laid back as they dont have weekend homework, etc.

    what a wonderful day….truly wonderful….

gj…again, it was wonderful meeting you all….safe trip home my friend:)
