I have been wanting to share something of my experience, but I find it’s difficult. One of my many nieces suggested and sang “Homeward Bound” at my brother’s memorial. Here is a version of it.

This is our last picture of him, taken the weekend of November 7th (Mom’s birthday), when my younger brother was visiting from the mid-west. They were able to spend some quality time together, for which we are all grateful.
Wes never liked having his picture taken; he would always have this little smile that made me sure he was thinking, “Well, if you’re really foolish enough to want a picture, I guess I’ll put up with it!”

You are a disruptor. The delivery of health care starts with you, continues because of you, and ends with you. Let's disrupt together to make the world better for family caregivers.

Karen,
Thank you so much for sharing. Your brother looked like a very sweet man. Your niece has a beautiful voice; I enjoyed her tribute very much. I’m sure your brother would have been very touched. You and your mom continue to be in my prayers.

Hi Karen–What a beautiful song! Such a fitting tribute. And, I’m so glad you shared the photo of your brother. And, what a photo to treasure. The photos turn your memories into 3-D versions. And, during a tough time for you and your family, I hope they bring comfort. Thanks for your update–please continue to keep us posted.
