Hi! How nice of you to stop by the Blog Party! I was going to bake, but realized I couldn’t exactly hand you the cookies, so I didn’t!
Today was a good day. Our son was going to a Boy Scout merit badge class and I had to run an errand. My husband, Steve, our son and I were actually at the same place yesterday. It is an art show. I happened to mention that we had somehow broken the glass on another piece that we own by the same artist, and he said that if we could come back today, he’d have a piece of the glass for us.
Steve not only wanted to join me but suggested we go to the nearby mall (actually a high-end shopping experience) and have lunch. I had lots of things planned for the time our son was in his class. Baking, decorating, making a gift, cleaning house, were all cast aside to spend time with Steve. This was a wonderful thing because: 1) Steve suggested it! 2) Steve’s been very tired the last few days so it was nice to see him having energy 3) I try to encourage Steve’s interests when he expresses them.
It all turned our great! We got the glass, then at the mall went to the pet store. It’s so fun looking at kittens and puppies! If we didn’t already have a cat, I think we would have brought home at least one rescue kitty. We stopped for lunch and purchased a couple of Christmas gifts before heading back in the rain to pick up our son.
Our son had another hour of work. I offered to take Steve home, but he opted to stay and wait. He talked to the two other men, one we know quite well, although he doesn’t know about Steve’s health, and the other we just met. It made me happy to see Steve talking with these men and the Boy Scouts.
We’ve got a busy week on tap. Hopefully it will be a little less hectic for Steve than last week was.

What a delightful day for you all! Those are the ones to cherish and hug to in your mind on the harder days, aren’t they? I was blessed with one of those yesterday with grandkids and other sweet delights. Christmas joys!
Thank you for a lovely visit for the Christmas blog party! Merry Christmas!

Hi G-J: If I could figure out a way to reach through my computer to take one of your cookies… You always bake such delightful treats! I’m so glad yesterday was a good day. Even better, you made the most of it. Good for you! Wishing you and yours a very special holiday.

I am so glad Steve had a good day, G-J! The cookie idea does sound good though. There must be some technology out there so that you could send one of your cookies out to us through the computer.

Hi G-J,
I’m so glad you both had such a nice day. The good days give us the extra energy we need! I hope your week holds lots of unexpected energy for you both.

Hi there. Just wanted to leave a comment about what sounds like an absolutely wonderful day! I’m glad it turned out so nice and it was productive too (the glass, the shopping, the socializing). It’s always nice to hear about the good days
