Day Off

Today was the first day this week without medical appointments.  Nelson and The Style Crone rushed out the door into the beautiful day before us to soak up the sun and breathe.  It’s a much different day when we don’t have to walk into a medical environment and be surrounded by the drama of chronic disease and its accessories.  A freedom that we used to take for granted and didn’t think about  for a second!  Now a day without contact with the ‘medical world’ feels like a relief and a release.  We don’t have to feel anxious about the next rush of bad news or the overwhelming surroundings of illness. Today we can just live.

Hi Judith–I just love that you include a photo credit to Nelson. It shows your connection as a team and a support system for each other. I hope your day of freedom proved to be relaxing and inspiring. :)

Oh my gosh, you look so cute!! My standard look is jeans, t-shirt and tennis shoes. Maybe you’ll inspire me to dress better! :)

Judith, ironically your “day off” sounds like just what the doctor ordered. Your outfit is eye catching of course. You do indeed have quite an eye for wardrobe but what I noticed right off was your smile. As caregivers we don’t smile much. Hard to do given our day to day pressures and tasks and the outcome we know is coming. Thank-you for the smile and the not so subtle reminder to look up, it’s ok.
