Face

Oooooooh, you may think. How am I going to face this?

It may be another diagnosis, yet another new home health aide, a different treatment regime, a visit from family, a decision about end-of-life care.

Or, it could simply be another day.

When it seems that what you face is too big for you, call in the support. Tell a trusted friend that you feel like it’s getting to be too much. Take a walk. Share your worry with your online support group. Say a prayer. Call the home care agency and ask for more help. Write it out in your journal. Check with the doctor about additional services that can help. Close your eyes and meditate.

When you call in the support, you can see you don’t face these worries, challenges and days alone. You have support you can see. You also have support you can feel. When it seems too hard to face, having support you can see and feel can feel like a strong hand on your back.

When you know others have your back, you can face anything.

We have your back. Feel how our hands keep you steady and facing the sun.
