It’s tops on our list: Eating right and exercising. But, somehow, as the day (and days) go by, it stays on the list but not in our life.

So, today, how will you make a healthy habit a part of your day? And, how will you make it easy on yourself so it really becomes a habit you fell into?

Share in our comments section for a chance to win one a gift check for a Butterball turkey. And, congrats to NJ, who won yesterday’s turkey.

I found a exercise CD that is only 15 minutes long. I figure that is better than nothing. I NEED to do that before I allow myself anything else that I consider “fun”. Even watching t.v. I do not allow myself to turn it on unless I have completed the CD. Also, I am not allowing anymore sweets into my house, because I find myself eating them! I will save them for special occasions only.

Good for you Francine… I have been telling myself that I will exercise but so far that hasn’t happened. It seems that I have so much to fit in my day I let this slip by.

I have been watching what I eat more. Not so much chocolate :o ( and cutting down on portion sizes. I really want to lose some weight.

    Hugs:o)

This isn’t much but I have been making a concerted effort to drink more water. I tend to forget to do that and it’s so good for you!

what a fun way to remind all of us involved in caring for our elderly parents (not to mention babysitting grandchildren like I do) of the vital importance of “taking care of the caregiver.” Thank you! :)

I’ve started adding hot oatmeal to my breakfast routine as it is considered excellent in many health areas, including cholesterol control.

Last fall and winter, I joined a pool at the University near us. I have been going back and forth in the decision of joining or not this year.

I’m so glad you posed this question – Thank you. I will join again by the end of the month.

My fear was that I wouldn’t have the energy this fall, however I’m hoping the swimming will not only give me more energy, but help me wrap my mind around the many changes my mother is experiencing.

I love our “We Breaks” they always remind me of what’s important for myself in order to keep moving forward stronger in caring for my mother. Thank you again!

I go work out at the YMCA every Wed night :)

The kids get to play in the play room with kids their own ages for up to 3 hrs.!!
