Happiness Project: February

Posted by
|

In February, our action word is Organize.

After removing what’s in our way, it’s wonderful to organize what we have. With an organized home, day and mind, we can move more gracefully within our moments. For me, I’m going to organize:

1. My goals, so I know which to pursue first.
2. My paperwork, so I’m ready to file my taxes this month.

With organization, you have what you need, which means you are ready for the possibilities and opportunities coming your way.

Please share your action plan for February in our comments section, below.

I succeeded in clearing out LOTS of stuff in January, so my goal for Feb is to organize:
    1) Paper: when it comes in, it will have a place to go (file or “round file”)and will NOT sit in piles on flat surfaces
    2) Study materials: Spanish language books; Alzheimer’s books & info; writing materials (books on, and current projects)

I have two closets I would love to organize. I would also like to take pauses when needed to organize my thoughts. In thinking more clearly, I think things will look more crisp (:

I have a few things I will focus on organizing this month:

    - the booster treasurer’s paperwork so I can get it off the family room table this weekend and turn it in next week for an audit

    - my time so I start spending at least an hour a week on a particular writing project

I also want to organize the pictures I have of my parents so I can scan them into the computer. I want to make photo books for my brothers and me. With the pictures scanned into the computer, I’ll be ready when I receive an e-mailed coupon for a photo book.

I am just starting this Happiness Project and find that I’m still quite in need of the Remove phase of January. So, I’m doing both and LOVE it! I have removed and organized my kitchen junk drawer and moved the dishcloths from behind the trash can to a drawer by reducing and combining 2 kitchen utensil drawers. Might not sound like much but oh boy AM I thrilled!

I’m so glad you joined us, Kristen! There is nothing (well, I suppose, there are some things) like removing and organizing. It’s an awesome feeling!
