Now Available: Your Comedy Book
Jun 8 2012 in CareGifters, Denise's Blog by Denise
Comedy, A Collection of Stories by Those Who Care, the second in our CareGifters Book Series, is now available as an ebook. The cost of the ebook is $5; the proceeds from books sales will be donated toward our CareGifters program. You can buy your copy here. (The print version will be available on Wednesday, June 13.)
What makes you giggle, of course, is something only another family caregiver can understand. So, our stories in our Comedy book focus on incontinence, over-flowing toilets and hard-of-hearing carees. It’s the stuff of guffaws from a normal, average, typical day of caring.
Trish, who blogs about caring for her brother, Robert, did an amazing job editing and producing the book. She worked tirelessly and lovingly to turn individuals stories into a collection of guffaws.
Trish will join me tomorrow (June 9) for Table Talk to discuss our Comedy Book. You can listen and join the show’s chat room here.
Our book about comedy is also a way for us to give back. We’ll use the revenue from our book sales to fund our CareGifters program. As often as we can, we send $500 to help a family caregiver in need through our CareGifters program.
I hope, after reading our book, you’ll embrace the moments which cause a smile or a howl. They are moments created just for your enjoyment.
Buy your copy of the ebook here.
(We’re ready to publish our next book. We’d love for you to submit stories for a book about the forgiveness that can come during a caregiving experience. The deadline to submit a story for Forgiveness is June 23. You’ll find details here.)

Trish did a great job putting the book together! It’s wonderfully entertaining. Thanks to everyone who shared their experiances to create what should become a valuable resource for the CareGifters program

Thanks to everyone who submitted a story as they were all delightful to read and will give others many smiles & laughs. Many thanks also go to Elissa for supplying the photos seen throughout the book. I’m particularly amazed at how Jane’s daughter, Nicole, captured the spirit of the book with her cover art. You rock, Nicole!
Enjoy!

I can’t wait to order my copy of the book! Trish you have done such a wonderful job on the books! Thank you so very much for putting Nicole’s artwork on the front of the book. This is one of my favorite pieces of her artwork as it captures so much of Nicole’s personality. She will be donating a framed copy of this piece for a raffle during the PH conference in a couple of weeks.
Hugs:o)
