The Roaring Mouse Returns
Jul 14 2012 in Caring for Spouse and Kids, Roaringmouse's Blog by roaringmouse
Hello and many hugs in return!
I have missed you all and it hasbeen with your emails, little gifts, kind thoughts and prior hugs like the “Garden” and the books near by that I knew you were there to help me smile through my tears. Private thank you notes will be coming soon to those who gave me those “special hugs”.
Thank you so much for the “Comedy” book. The laughs were very welcome! When I got the shirt, bawled a good one! I will wear it proudly!
I am not on my normal computer right now so I can’t type as easily as I might.
A dear friend had warned me this day would come. But I don’t think she, let alone I, expected this day to come this early. I lost my best friend at 49. But he left me as quickly as he entered. I will always have fond memories of him and there’s no one who can take that away, which happens to be the same as I told my daughter.
The LTD issue is being closed verbally and then by paper in about two weeks. I will write on that later.
I will also tell you about jury duty, mortgage, fighting Rabbis, security, EP and many other things that have occurred since about July 25.
Stay tuned!
The Roaring Mouse

RM, so good to see a post from you and especially to see spirit. I can sympathize with your loss having lost my wife and best friend when I was only 43. Just as in caregiving, in this new journey you’ve now embarked on know that you are not alone.

Jo,
Thank you for your kind thoughts. I think one of the things that easy to forget is that there are no age limitations. You reminded me that I’m not alone in this.

Thanks for helping me through this process & for the posts.
Twinkie will be starting school soon and we are both very excited about it. I think Hubby would be happy. I’ll post more soon!

Hi Roaring Mouse,
Good to see you. I’ve been thinking about you and Twinkie – thank you for posting this update.
Greg was so blessed to have your care, your friendship and your love. You are right, noone can ever take away the memories – hold them tightly, and cherish each one.
Please take care. Looking forward to reading the posts you spoke of.

Bette,
Thanks for your warm wishes. Many have said that even though Hubby and I couldn’t see it…there were many purposes to what we accomplished together. EP & the LTD were the two biggest. I will be continuing our work in his name. (More to come…)

You are a true powerhouse. I wish you and Twinkie comfort not only from your memories of Greg, but from the memories you continue to create, with all the good that you are doing in this world.

RM, thank you for this update. I’ve been thinking of you and Twinkie and keeping you in my prayers. You have been am amazing example to me throughout your fight with LTD and your work on EP, all the while being an amazing wife, mother and caregiver. I look forward to hearing more as your journey continues, and to hearing about the dueling Rabbis!!
