Bette’s New Book: Come Visit Me
Oct 29 2012 in Denise's Blog by Denise
This afternoon, Bette and her husband, Greg, joined me on Your Caregiving Journey to talk about their just-published children’s book, Come Visit Me. You can listen to our interview via the player below.
Bette, who began caring for her mother when her youngest was nine months old, based Come Visit Me on her family’s story. Greg illustrated the book, written for children ages five and six. In the story, a grandmother explains to her grandchildren the changes that have occurred because of her diagnosis of dementia.
During today’s show, we spoke about how families can work together as a team, whether in an experience like caregiving or through a project like a book. And, as Bette said during the show, communication keeps the team together.
Congratulations, Bette and Greg, on a beautiful book!
You can purchase Bette’s book in our store.

Bette, Congratulations on the publication of your book! The concept is wonderful and will help so many kids understand what is going on. If the illustrations are as great as the cover, Greg has a second career ahead of him!
Can’t wait to get a copy!
