Happy Halloween!

This is going to be quick (note: I started this post several hours ago)! This is a day where caregiving and working definitely ”call on the same line” but in a good way.
This morning consisted of me getting my costume on, packing the car full of goodies for Robert’s Day Program and my work (we have Halloween costume and pumpkin contests at work), rushing over to Robert’s to help him become a Vampire (he was that last year, too, but he insisted – hey, if it works don’t fix it!), taking Robert & the goodies to Day Program, getting coffee from a drive-through, spilling coffee on me (costume & all) and my car, cleaning up the mess, finally getting to work, doing about a minute of work before running to the store for extra food for our pot luck (I have to make sure we have enough!), setting up for the pot luck, taking a picture with my co-Village People, scarfing down some food from the pot luck, sending out the voting emails for our work contest and squeezing in a few more minutes of “real” work.
Yes, this morning bled into this afternoon and I’m not done yet. Robert will stay at the facility for the evening (disrupting his routine through the week is not a good idea and I’m getting to close to my limit of 73 days for him to risk a problem through the end of the year).
The pumpkin in the picture with me and Robert was drawn by Robert and carved by my husband, Richard. The “boys” were on their own Sunday night while I picked up my daughter from the airport. They seemed to have a great time and Robert loved his pumpkin!
The 2nd picture is of me and a few co-workers dressing up as the Village People. The Polls haven’t closed yet but early indications are we might just win.
(I’m the cowboy on the left).
I hope you all enjoy your day whether you are celebrating Halloween or just having a regular Wednesday.
Yeehaw!!
