The Tide Turns or This Was a Very Good Day

We have seen that the light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter, and I’m pretty sure I don’t see an oncoming train! My husband finally returned to therapy this week; progress not so good, but he’s back and trying.
We found a new community that is moving our home for free and setting it up just as we have it here. It’s about a 45-minute drive, but still doable for all the doctoring. We had to find some place to stay for four to six weeks while they relocate and reassemble it. We wanted to lighten the sadness of moving and to give ourselves a break from our ordeals. We decided that we would try to find a small rental near the beach and pretend we’re on vacation.
I spent literally hours searching online today and received an email back from my favorite pick. Wait for it….I think I found the perfect place. I phoned the owner and she was a delight. It sounds perfect, a few adjustments for the wheelchair and hubby, his dog and I will travel the six miles to vacation on Hollywood Beach while rehabbing! I go to check it out Tuesday and hope it will accommodate.
If all that were not enough….my mother is still quite alert, holding daily court and insisting on her floor show when put to bed. My sisters and nieces are running out of songs so Mama is now making requests! Gotta love her.
We all wait for days like this. These days are what keeps us going. God’s blessings are bountiful. I wish I could send a day like mine to each of you.

Hi Pegi,
I’m so happy for you both!! And, to think that doctors and rehab. won’t have to be effected either.
Enjoy your visit on Tuesday – always fun to look!
Thinking of you and your mom. I’m glad she’s able to request her song.

It sounds like a wonderful, wonderful day. I love your idea of heading to the beach for a mini-vacation during the relocation. Let us know how Tuesday goes.

Wonderful news, Pegi! How great that you can keep your doctors and spend time in a place that is restful and rejuvenating. Love the floor show requests!
