And Yet More Thanks!

I didn’t know that I had won one of the We Break For Fall turkey checks until I opened the Happy Thanksgiving card from Bette that arrived in my PO Box.

Thank you so much!

After consulting with my partner I went to the market earlier today and checked with one of the managers. All I had to do to use the check was buy a Butterball product and the rest of the check could go toward “other groceries.”

Here’s what I bought (the sugar is wholly my partner’s domain) — and I happily told the cashier where the Butterball check had come from.

Also above is a shot of the Caregiving.com bumper sticker that had arrived earlier and that my car has proudly worn ever since. :-)

As an extra treat, while inside the market I bumped into a friend whom I hadn’t seen in months. We spent a few minutes catching each other up on our lives. It was good touching base with her again.

I’ve had a turkey filet and it was fabulous. My partner opted to take a nap before eating hers (already cooked) — and there are two more in the package for us to enjoy at another meal.

Now to get to that banana that’s been calling my name. :D
