What’s Your Funniest Thanksgiving Moment?
Nov 23 2012 in Contests, Events, Holiday Survival Guide by Denise
Maybe it happened with your caree or another family member or with a turkey that was too big. But, it happened. Something went horribly wrong. Yesterday, it wasn’t really that funny. But, today, it’s a great after-Thanksgiving tale.
We want to hear it. Post your funniest Thanksgiving moment or conversation or gaffe. When you do, you’ll be entered into a contest for a chance to win a $250 gift certificate from NorthShore Care Supply. You can use your gift certificate to purchase home-delivered incontinence supplies, home care products and weight scales. View products from NorthShore at www.northshorecare.com.
Share your story in our comments section below before Tuesday at midnight; we’ll announce a winner on Wednesday. (Please note: We’ve extended our deadline by 48 hours.)

Denise, What a wonderful contest! As I think of things, I’ll post them. I hope you and your family had a great Thanksgiving!
Here’s one funny:
Yesterday, Robert enjoyed his food (as usual). He ate turkey, baked beans, stuffing/dressing, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes & gravy, roll, cranberry sauce, fruit salad, broccoli and cheese, mac & cheese and blueberry pie.
Then, before finishing the pie, he asked to have Rocky Road Ice Cream after pie.
He is a creature of habit!

Well, Rocky Road is the perfect end to a perfect meal!

I did make hiim wait a while but eventually let him have his Rocky Road ice cream. You can bet he wasn’t going to let me forget it that night!

I put our contestants names (Trish and Bob) in a hat and pulled out a winner:
Congrats to Trish!
And, thanks to Bob, who also submitted a story; you can read his here: http://www.caregiving.com/2012/11/the-gaping-wound/
