How Will You Make 12/12/12 Memorable?
Dec 12 2012 in Tell Us by Denise
It’s December 12, 2012. We won’t see a date like this again until the next century.
So, let’s make the day memorable.
Today, do or say something that will make a good memory, either just for you, for your and your caree, or for you and others. Once you make your memory, tell us in our comments section, below.
Because when we make a memory, we stop (and keep) time.

Here’s my memory:
My mom attended a luncheon today during which she won what she calls a “fun watch.” She also won a necklace, which she loves so will keep. The fun watch, she decided, was more my taste. So, on 12/12/12 I have stopped time by receiving a watch from my mom.

Denise, that watch is gorgeous! Enjoy!
For me, today’s memorable moment is the talk my partner and I had just before tonight’s “Hot Topics” show. First, it dovetailed beautifully into the topic. Second, it was very gratifying to both of us, and we both recognized it as a milestone in our ability to communicate with each other.

I don’t think I “did” anything to make the day memorable. I got a call from one of the other PH support group leaders asking me if I could post on facebook for her because she didn’t have her computer.
Her mom has been battling lung cancer and she was being taken off the breathing tube and she would pass away once they did this. It was de ja vu (sp). My mom also died of lung cancer and I also had to take her off life support. I know exactly how she felt yesterday.
Sometimes it is hard to remember the date that a loved one passes (at least for me) and this is a date that really will stick with you.
Hugs:o)

Denise, What a gorgeous watch! I love it!
Jane, I’m very sorry you had to go through that yesterday but what a gift you gave your friend. You are a wonderful friend to have done that as it had to have been difficult for you since it reminded you of your own situation. Hugs to you!
Ejourneys, I love your enthusiasm and the breakthrough with your partner. That must have felt fantastic.
I don’t think I did anything really memorable but I will remember this week. Robert was sick since I picked him up on Saturday and we had him at our house through yesterday morning (which I will deny if anyone asks since we may or may not be close to our 73 days).
The help I received from Richard and Rachel was priceless. Knowing Robert was well cared for during his illness gave me peace of mind which is a pretty great memory for 12/12/12. (He’s still not 100% but I was confident he was well enough to go back to his facility and be okay until I get him this weekend).

I never really got a chance to think about the 12/12/12 thing. But now that I’ve got a moment…I guess it would be finding out that (sorry I still can’t tell ….) would happen on Friday.
