Two Fundraisers to Raise Money to Embrace Family Caregivers

Our non-profit organization, The Center for Family Caregivers, works to embrace, employ and empower family caregivers.

As part of our Empower initiative, we send $500 to a family caregiver in need as often as we can through our CareGifters program. To date, we’ve sent $500 to 11 family caregivers. We want to continue to help as often as we can.

To help raise money for our CareGifters program, we’ve got two fundraisers happening.

Bracelet_Fundraiser1. Bracelets by Casandra
You know Casandra, who cares for her husband, through her blog. She also received CareGifters funds last year. To help us continue to help family caregivers, Casandra created bracelets, including the one pictured, which you can buy at her online store. I love the bracelet I purchased from Casandra during our Craft Fair.

Casandra will donate a portion of the proceeds made from any sales to our CareGifters program. When you make your purchase, you have the option to “Leave ComicVixen Designs a note…” during check-out. In your note, please mention CareGiving.com and this code: CARE10.

2. Thirty-One Gifts
pantry_934Brittany Krause, one of our Facebook fans, offered to host a fundraiser through Thirty-One Gifts. You’ll find solutions to organize your pantry and home office as well as accessory bags, stationery and purses.

Thanks so much to Casandra and Brittany for their generous offers to help us help you. And, thanks so much for your purchases!

I began working with family caregivers in 1990 and launched CareGiving.com in 1996 to help and support them. Through my blog, I share words of comfort and offer coping strategies and tips. I also write opinion pieces about recent research, community programs and media coverage of caregiving issues. I've written several caregiving books, including "The Caregiving Years, Six Stages to a Meaningful Journey," "Take Comfort, Reflections of Hope for Caregivers" and "After Caregiving Ends, A Guide to Beginning Again." You can purchase my books and schedule a coaching call with me in our store.

  1. I recommend anyone to buy Casandra’s bracelets. I got one for a gift for a friend and she loved it. I think they looked gorgeous! If I wore jewelry I would’ve bought some for myself too. I might yet buy more for friends or as gifts! Thanks Casandra! Luv ya, Gailxo

  2. Thanks, Gail!
I am excited to help out and as I am able to add more things to the site, I will. I understand that most men don’t wear bracelets so maybe I can come up with a design for something that they’d be interested in purchasing, as well.

Good luck, Denise. Thanks for allowing me to help out :)

    • Casandra? I just bought the most wonderful bracelet you made! I cannot wait to see it and give it to my sister for her birthday! Thanks!

  3. Dear @denise, thanks once again for allowing Casandra to have her beautiful bracelets for sale! I just bought one and anticipate another happy face upon the receiver of this gift, too, just like the other one was! Gail Kroll xo
