New Website Matches Seniors with Affordable Care

Middlesex County, NJ, March 15, 2009 – The aging of America and unstable economic conditions are converging to make survival even more difficult for seniors in need of home care. Agencies that traditionally connect families with home care professionals add substantial fees to the process, and the nominal hourly rate they pay out to caregivers attracts a less qualified, less motivated pool of human resources. Many families across the country are finding it hard to make ends meet when caring for senior loved ones.

Donny Stegall, a local businessman, saw this happening in his own community and decided to do something about it. He and his wife created ReliableSeniorCare.com, a free web site connecting caregivers and families in need of qualified care. Caregivers post their profiles; families post positions describing the type of assistance needed for their senior loved one.

“We currently have a database of more than 10,000 caregivers and care seekers across the country,” says Stegall. “We believe we are enabling more affordable care solutions by eliminating the middleman for those who can’t afford the fees, and letting families play a greater role in the selection process. At the same time, we are offering a better solution for caregivers – they can see the positions that are available in their area and determine their own rate of pay. Everybody wins.” Hundreds of caregivers and care seekers see it that way.

”I found ReliableSeniorCare.com and posted my profile. Before long, I was contacted by a family who needed elder care in a home just around the corner from me. It was easier than using an agency, and the family and I worked out an arrangement that was cost effective for both of us,” relates Hope Cowins of Muskegon, Michigan.

The family that found her via ReliableSeniorCare.com agrees. ”I was searching the Internet, in desperate need of home health care aides for my elderly parents. I found a match on ReliableSeniorCare.com and have the utmost gratitude to them for connecting me with someone so professional and caring as Hope. She got us through a very difficult time and needs to commended for doing such a great job for us.”

A graduate of Montclair State, Stegall is an entrepreneur with a diverse background in cinematography, real estate, contracting and retail sales. ReliableSeniorCare.com was developed in 2007 to meet a local need, and currently attracts 1,000 new registrants each month from across the country.
