I honor my Mom who passed away last week after suffering from dementia and heart problems for over 7 years. I was her night and weekend shifts of caregiving and grew to love her even more than I already did. My Mom was a very elegant woman - not fancy but always dressed nicely - made most of her own clothes - always had her hair done just so. No one ever believed her age. She was 89 when she died on 15 Mar 10. She crocheted, quilted, worked full-time outside the home, raised two kids with a husband that traveled 2 weeks out of the month. She came to Atlanta when she was 16 to attend business school. She was a lady way ahead of her time in 1936. I will miss her terribly but I know that she is not suffering any longer and that she is reunited with my Dad, to whom she was married 52 years. I love you and miss you, Mom. Your loving daughter
