Job Description:

We are in search of a full-time associate editor with experience in SEO to help move content through the editorial process. In this position, your primary responsibility will be reviewing, editing, and publishing article and blog content for the site. You will also assist with developing and managing annual and campaign-based editorial calendars. This role reports directly to our Editor-in-Chief.

  • Provide editing and publishing support as directed by the editor-in-chief.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of editorial calendars.
  • Provide project management support for editorial and marketing projects.
  • Participate in meetings with the content team (marketing, social, design) to review progress and brainstorm upcoming projects.
  • Identify content opportunities based on current trends in digital media and the caregiving industry.
  • Support our email marketing efforts, including drafting and publishing subscriber newsletters and surveys.
  • Assist with managing and executing content sponsorship agreements, including reviewing and publishing partner content and making sure contract deadlines are being met.
  • Write articles on an ongoing basis based on the editorial calendar.
  • Support with contributor recruitment and development.
  • Update and improve existing content.
  • Analyze content performance on an ongoing basis to determine what content is working and what content isn’t.


  • At least one year of prior editing experience required.
  • Experience working with AP Style and content management systems.
  • Understanding of SEO best practices and key web traffic metrics.
  • Google Analytics experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent administrative and organization skills.
  • Degree in English or journalism preferred.
  • Interest or experience in writing about topics related to healthcare and caregiving a plus.
