NCC18 Presenter: Bobbi Carducci

NCC18 Presenter: Bobbi Carducci

Join Bobbi for the following session during our Third Annual National Caregiving Conference:

What Do I Do Now? – Rebuilding Your Life and Relationships on Saturday, Nov. 10, at 9 a.m.
For so long all of your time and resources have gone into caring for another. You may feel you have lost yourself and your connection to others leaving you wondering how to move on. In this presentation attendees will learn how to move from exhaustion and grief to living a full life again. Topics include:

  • Rest, rest, and rest some more

  • Reconnecting with your spouse, family and friends

  • Sometimes Being a Little Bit Crazy Was Exactly What Was Called For

  • Hello, God, it’s me. Where were you?

You do not have to get it right every time in order to be doing it well and sometimes being a little bit crazy is exactly what's called for. ~ Bobbi

Bobbi also will share her perspective on two panel discussions on Friday, Nov. 9: Finding Our Best During the Days That Feel the Worst: Diagnosis Day, Hospital Admission, End of Life Panel Discussion at 11 a.m. and Finding My Best Self During Caregiving Panel Discussion at 2 p.m.

Bobbi was a caregiver for her father-in-law, Rodger, for seven years. His diagnoses included, dementia, Parkinson’s disease, C.O.P.D., congestive heart failure, Dysphagia, and schizophrenia for which he had been treated since 1947. Bobbi is now a caregiver support group leader, author, blogger, and national speaker in caregiving issues. Her book, Confessions of an Imperfect Caregiver (Open Books Press), tells the story of her family dealing with one of the fastest growing, most important issues of our day. While it reads like a novel, every word is true.
