About the Artist: I took care of my father who had dementia and I took care of my mother who had Lewy Body Dementia. My mother lived with me and she was bed bound, tube fed and non verbal for the last 2 years of her life. I was working as a manager at a national chain jewelry store when I lost my job due to caring for my mother. I then found a position at Comfort Keepers. I was working full time and had a part time job and would come home and take care of her. There were rough times but through it all I was determined to make a difference in her life by being able to care for her at home. She passed away August 5, 2018 in her sleep, in her bed and at home which is what she wanted.

I know the struggles of caregiving and I also know the joy. I designed my logo to show how the love and care we give our caree's shows our Amazing Difference by supporting them and putting them, along with our great work in the spotlight.

About the Artist: I was a caregiver to my father for the last year of his life in 2016. I was blessed to assist with home hospice as he wanted to finish living in the house he built in the beautiful north woods of Wisconsin. We had some of the best talks of our lives. He told me things he never told me or anyone else before, and he gave me the biggest compliment a man could offer another man. Days before he passed, he told me that I do so much for my family and children, that he was very proud of me. He then told me, “You are the best Father I have ever met". And still, like now, every time I tell someone that story, tears flow from my eyes.
