She holds both a bachelor's degree in Public Health and master's in Biomedical Visualization. After returning from the Dominican Republic where she served as a Peace Corps Health Educator, Carrie became primary caregiver to her mother who was living with Early Onset Alzheimer's disease. This opened Carrie's eyes to the needs of the aging services workforce. In 2018, Embodied Labs won the grand prize of $250K from The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation for XR in Education.

Join Carrie for her session during our Fourth Annual National Caregiving Conference:

Session #1

Panel Discussion - Transform: How can I possibly transform medical research?
Saturday 10 a.m.

You'll hear from innovative caregivers who are making a difference by transforming the patient/caregiver role in medical research and bringing family caregiver voices to the forefront. See how one former caregiver developed technology that teaches healthcare providers what it's like to have Alzheimer's and learn how and where you can get more involved.
