Volunteer at Our Fourth Annual National Caregiving Conference

We're looking for volunteers to help at the Fourth Annual National Caregiving Conference. The conference will take place Thursday, November 7, through Sunday, November 10, at the Chicago Marriott O'Hare, 8535 W. Higgins. The conference hotel is near Cumberland exit off the Kennedy and the Cumberland stop off the Blue Line.

We're looking for volunteers to help with registration and in our exhibit area. In addition, we're looking for volunteers to be Roving Reporters who interview attendees, exhibitors, panelists and presenters. We've included details, below. Complete the form at the bottom of this post to become a volunteer.

Thursday, November 7 (Noon to 5 p.m.)

  • Five volunteers to help with registration and to help direct attendees to their workshop room.

  • Three volunteers to help in session rooms to ensure the speakers have what they need and that the presentations begin on time.

  • Three volunteers to be Roving Reporters, interviewing exhibitors, attendees and presenters.


Friday, November 8 (7 a.m. - 6 p.m.).

  • Five volunteers to help with registration and to help direct attendees to their workshop room.

  • 12 volunteers to help in session rooms (two volunteers at each session room) to ensure the speakers have what they need and that the presentations begin on time.

  • Ten volunteers to be Roving Reporters, interviewing exhibitors, attendees and presenters.


Saturday, November 9 (7:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.)

  • Ten volunteers to help with registration and to help direct attendees to their workshop rooms, the bathrooms and the exhibits throughout the day.

  • Four volunteers in the exhibit area to help exhibitors find their tables and to help attendees find an exhibitor.

  • Six volunteers to help in session rooms (two volunteers at each session room) to ensure the speakers have what they need and that the presentations begin on time.

  • Ten volunteers to be Roving Reporters, interviewing exhibitors, attendees and presenters.


Sunday, November 10 (9 a.m. to 2 p.m.)

  • Three volunteers to help in session rooms to ensure the speakers have what they need and that the presentations begin on time.

  • Three volunteers to be Roving Reporters, interviewing exhibitors, attendees and presenters.


You can volunteer for as many hours as you have available. To ensure you have what you need to be an effective volunteer, we'll have a general conference call to discuss logistics in October. We'll also share regular updates about the conference agenda and tips so you feel confident and comfortable volunteering. To thank you for your help, you'll receive meals (continental breakfast, lunch), free access to any of our conference workshops and presentations, and our gratitude.

Our conference will take place on November 7-10 at the Chicago Marriott O’Hare, conveniently located minutes from O’Hare and a subway ride from downtown Chicago. Hotel parking for our conference is $3.

  • $121 per night (our National Caregiving Conference rate) at the Chicago Marriott O’Hare, 8535 W. Higgins.
