21st Birthday Party: Give Thanks for Family Caregivers

Denise
Every day this week, we’re celebrating Caregiving.com’s 21st birthday with activities and prizes, including grand prizes which include a free seat at an upcoming Certified Caregiving Consultant training program and care packages which include sessions with two of our Certified Caregiving Consultants.

Today, we’re celebrating on Facebook by sharing a gratitude for family caregivers.

Whenever you can today, share an update on your Facebook page that expresses thanks for all family caregivers. Your update could look like this:

I care for my (insert information about your caree). It’s been one of the toughest experiences in my life. And, yet, I have moments and days that make me forget the tough times. Today, I’m giving thanks for all the others like me in the world, who get up every day and make a difference in their families and in their communities. I’m so grateful to be in your company! And, for those caring for a family member, I recommend these resources: (list books, websites, products, services you like).

Once you share your update, let us know in our comments section, below. When you post a comment here, you’ll be entered into a chance to win a copy of our Caregiving Cookbook, which features recipes from our members, a $10 Starbucks gift card and a one-hour phone consultation session and one complimentary 15-minute follow-up phone session with Lisa Riggi, a Certified Caregiving Consultant and a Certified Caregiving Educator. Lisa was born and raised in a caregiving home. When her parents married in 1953 they immediately became "married and caregiving" when Lisa's maternal grandmother and great-grandmother moved into her parent's home. Throughout her life, Lisa witnessed her parents care for many family members. Lisa helps married couples in caregiving situations keep the focus on their marriage relationship while providing the best care for their caree.

I'm grateful for you!
