28 Ways to Show the Love: Maintain a Drama-Free Zone

Denise
Each day in February, we’ll share a way that family members and friends can help the family caregiver in their lives. (A family caregiver is an individual who cares for a family member or friend, just like you.) Through our campaign, we hope to create awareness of what family caregivers do and how others can help.

Today’s tip comes from me; I help my parents and an aunt: Maintain a drama-free zone.

Why this tip is important: Oh, I've got drama. When will the doctor call back? Will we get through the night without a fall? What will the test show? Because I'm already surrounded by drama, I am so grateful if you keep your drama off my stage. You are welcome to be as dramatic as you like on your stage. But, my stage is full so I appreciate it when you respect that I don't have room for any more drama.

(Have an idea you’d like us to include? Email your idea to Denise and include an explanation of why your tip is so important.)
