29 Ways to Show the Love: Bring the Puppy Love

(A family caregiver is an individual who cares for a family member or friend, just like you.) Through our campaign, we hope to create awareness of what family caregivers do and how others can help.

Today’s tip comes from @g-j, who cares for her husband and cared for her parents: Bring your dog (or cat) to visit the caree if the family caregiver doesn't have a pet. Pet therapy!

Why this tip is important: Pets love us unconditionally and we can use as much love as we can get. A tail-wagging lump of love will delight and entertain our carees. And, that lively puppy dog will remind all of us that life can still be good.

(A caveat: Call the family caregiver first to make sure a visit from a dog will be okay. And, be prepared to leave quickly, just in case.)
