29 Ways to Show the Love: Clean the Car

(A family caregiver is an individual who cares for a family member or friend, just like you.) Through our campaign, we hope to create awareness of what family caregivers do and how others can help.

Today’s tip comes from me (and I care for my parents): Clean the family caregiver's car.

Why this tip is important: During caregiving, the car delivers care in its own way. With so many doctors' appointments, errands, trips to the store to keep supplies stocked, the car needs care, too, in the form of a good cleaning. But who has time to do that?

When you clean the family caregiver's car, you say that you understand the intricacies of caregiving. Your thoughtfulness means that the family caregiver and caree enjoy their trips in a car that sparkles. Every time they get in the car, they'll feel your love and support.

(Note: You can clean the car yourself or simply bring it to a full-service car wash. Either works because it's truly about the end result.)
