29 Ways to Show the Love: Give a Good Birthday

Denise
birthday-15984_640Each day in February, we’ll share a way that family members and friends can help the family caregiver in their lives. (A family caregiver is an individual who cares for a family member or friend, just like you.) Through our campaign, we hope to create awareness of what family caregivers do and how others can help.

Today’s tip comes from G-J (@g-j), who cares for her husband and cared for her parents: When it's the family caregiver's birthday, send a birthday card. If you live near the family caregiver, show up with a cake or cupcake for the family caregiver. Help a family caregiver have a good birthday by making it a special day for them.

Why this tip is so important: We do our best to make our days as special as possible for our careess and family members because we live with the knowledge that time is limited. On our birthday, make our day as special as possible. Often times, our carees can't buy us a card or give us a gift. When you step up to make the day special, you remind us that we're special, too.
