A Caregiving Comfort: Snooze

A Caregiving Comfort: Snooze
Denise

Our alarm promises to count those 10 minutes for us. While the alarm keeps track of the ticks and tocks, we can lay in bed with time to enjoy our own thoughts, our own dreams, our own reprieve.
Of course, if we hit snooze over and over, we get out of bed behind, rushed, scrambling before we even get to the eggs.
One snooze gives. Too many take away.
We deserve ten minutes to take a break from our world. We can catch our breath, find the energy to continue and refuel our hope tank when we give ourselves time. The challenge is to not give our time away because our fear tempts us to believe we're not strong enough to get up.
We give ourselves time when we give ourselves a break. We give away our time when we believe our world will break us.
Today, I hope you give yourself time. When the fear causes you to snooze too long, wake up to our words. You have our support. We believe in you.
