A Twitter Party to Launch Our Summer Break

A Twitter Party to Launch Our Summer Break

It's summer, which means it's time for We Break for Summer! We’ll celebrate summer while encouraging you to take a break (even a short five-minute one) daily to do something just for you or about you. Our special week begins August 28 and ends September 3.

We're kicking off our week-long event with a Caregiving Party on Twitter on Sunday, August 28. Our party begins at 8 p.m. ET (7 p.m. CT, 5 p.m. PT) and will give us a chance to chat with you about an issue facing every family caregiver: Help--when, how and why to use it and get it. I'll host the party, which will be attended by some of our bloggers, including Bette (@bettebythesea), G-J (@GJandfamily) and Jane (@phmomma21). (I'm @caregiving.) Our hashag for the party is #carechat. We'd love for you to join us! If you're on Twitter and will attend, post a post a comment below so we can follow you and connect with you on Sunday. (A tip: I use www.tweetchat.com to follow parties and chats on Twitter.)

We’re also making our celebration a chance for you to win, with contests taking place on our Facebook fan page, on Twitter and on Caregiving.com. We’re also holding a special free webinar for you.

Here are the We Break for Summer! details:

Title: Escape! Taking a Day Off Without Taking a Leave
Day and Time: Wednesday, August 31, 11 a.m. CT

In our 2011 Annual Family Caregiver Survey, we asked: When was/is the hardest time for you in your caregiving role? 32% of respondents said  their hardest time was when they were exhausted from not taking a break. In this 45-minute seminar, I'll offer ideas on how you can escape without taking a leave from the house.

To join this webinar, just visit here on August 31 at 11 a.m. CT. Be sure to bring paper and pen.
