beads-390087_640You didn't bargain for this.

That money has become so tight that you constantly hunt for a bargain. That you have to bargain with some family members just to get them to stop by for a few minutes to visit with your caree. That you realize your once good friend--who now pooh-poohs your caregiving responsibilities--really is no bargain.

Caregiving has become a big deal.

It's certainly not a piece of cake. It's absolutely not just a bump in the road. And it's not for the faint of heart.

But, it's certainly taught you life lessons you now appreciate. It's showed you what's truly valuable. The wisdom you've gained comes in handy every day. You really feel like you walk with insights and knowledge that few others have.

It kinda feels like you've just earned an advanced degree from Harvard. It's the bargain you didn't bank on. Because of this, you'll never be part of the bargain bin.

You are priceless.

I agree with this wholeheartedly! I am priceless. The knowledge I have gained while caregiving is something no person can learn going to school. I love this post Denise! Thank you so much. I needed to read this today!!!
