Book Club Discussion: The 15 Laws of Invaluable Growth

Maxwell_260x420Last week, @jbones1961 (Jane) and I enjoyed a live discussion of our May book club pick, The 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth by John Maxwell. In his book, Maxwell explains the importance of personal growth--if we want to expand our lives and meet our goals, we must first challenge ourselves to be our best. His 15 laws include:

1. The Law of Intentionality
2. The Law of Awareness
3. The Law of the Mirror
4. the Law of Reflection
5. The Law of Consistency
6. The Law of Environment
7. The Law of Design
8. The Law of Pain
9. The Law of the Ladder
10. The Law of the Rubber Band
11. The Law of the Trade-Offs
12. The Law of Curiosity
13. The Law of Modeling
14. The Law of Expansion
15. The Law of Contribution

Jane said she wants to work on her consistency. She loved how Maxwell described this law: "Motivation gets you going--discipline keeps you growing." I would like to work on the thirteen law--which means finding a mentor.

We both recommended this book and feel you'll find useful information when reading.

In June, we're reading Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn. To join our book club, just go here.
