Brother Steps In

My brother is taking very good care of Mom while I am gone.  He and Mom stayed home while Dad drove himself to golf.  Dad is 92 and now that they have opened the new road, he can avoid the heavy traffic on the interstate. Using my tracker I see him on the road and using the app on my phone I monitor him on the golf course.  This is all with Dad's approval.  I use these apps even if I am with them.  It’s like monitoring a child as they leave school as I explained to Dad.  In my case, it's my parents.  My brother has more faith in his driving than I do. Mom is well-rested and according to my brother, she has a lot of “pep” and is ready to go to Krispy Kreme, their Friday stop after golf.  They are home for the day now and he is monitoring Mom as she walks through the house.  He is doing what I do when I am there.  I am feeling so much better today.

As I wait for the carpet cleaner, I am thinking of Mom.  Greg is on an errand, and although it's his day off, he doesn't want to be here while the carpet cleaner is in the house.  My shoulder strain and the sore in my mouth, because of the stress, are healing.  This means I will never pick up anything heavy again before I have lifted weights at the gym.  No time during the day for that, but I can use dumbbells and exercise when the parents are sleeping or taking a break.   I’ve had plenty of rest at home with the help of my husband.  My flight leaves at 9:30 tomorrow night.  One more day for my brother before I come home and relieve him so he can get back to his routine.
