Roller_Coaster_TracksHi Everyone,

I know it's been a while since I've been here, and I'm sorry! I have missed you.

Life has been kind of a roller coaster over the last few months. I traveled almost non-stop throughout the fall, leading up to the election (I'm a journalist who was covering politics).

Then - seemingly out of nowhere, I had an awesome opportunity to come back to my hometown and accept a position as an Executive Producer at a TV station I worked at 10 years ago - the same station I grew up watching.

So, we moved! It's so nice to be back home where we are surrounded by my family, and can enjoy perks like my dad building wheelchair ramps! :)

We are just starting to get settled into our new routine. My new job includes working an overnight shift, so that has been a big adjustment. My husband was working part time, and unfortunately because of that, we lost our Medicaid benefits, so I was having to do full time caregiving duty on top of moving and starting a new job and all that and it was a little, ahem, INSANE.

But, we have finally hired someone to come a few days a week to help him with his bathroom stuff, so here I am upstairs in my little nook having some alone time! I'm so excited to be able to breathe again!

I've also just released my first eBook, "We Are: A Caregiving Manifesto," which is based on a post I wrote this Summer that I know many of you connected with! If you'd like to check that out, you can go to the website my husband built for it:

I so appreciate being able to connect with all of you! I remember when I was first starting out on my caregiving journey, I felt so alone. I never feel that way anymore, and it really does make life so much easier.

Dana,\r\n\r\nCongratulations! I also loved your poem. It was so nice to read that and know that someone else understands what I did back then. I am so proud of you! I'll be handing it out to my community!\r\n\r\nRoaringMouse

Hi Dana--Kudos on your new job!! It's always so good to hear from you. When you have a chance, I'd love to know more about how you managed your move. It's such a huge undertaking--I'd love to know more. \r\n\r\nCongrats on your eBook! Send me a message if you'd like to add it to our store. :)
